If Generalized Anxiety Disorder is real, there has to be a Chronic Laziness Syndrome. I'm a victim, dammit.

I can't explain this to you.
I think you have to be pretty spectacularly lazy for this next anecdote to even make sense. You might not understand how it's even possible. But at the deli today, when the guy asked if I wanted lettuce and tomato on my egg salad sandwich, I was actually too lazy to tell him, "just tomato." I just grunted and ate the lettuce. It's insane. But sometimes I feel compelled to do the absolute minimum possible.

It's 4 degrees out
Kiki was sick today, and because I still feel bad about stiffing her on the Thanksgiving pie, I decided to make her chicken soup. I went with tri-color matzoball soup (red, yellow and green ones), a silly idea I adapted from Jewish Woman magazine. She seemed to think that was strange because I'm not Jewish or a woman, but I just have a strong interest in matzoballs. I'll agree that it's kind of an ethnic food crime to use Christmas colors.
Red Matzoballs
2 eggs
2 tablespoons rosemary-infused olive oil
3 tablespoons tomato sauce
1/2 cup matzo mix (1 packet out of a Manischewitz box)
white pepper to taste
Yellow Matzoballs
2 eggs
2 tablespoons canola oil
1 teaspoon turmeric
1/2 cup matzo mix
white pepper to taste
Green Matzoballs
2 eggs
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 ounce (i.e. "some") baby spinach leaves pureed (strain out excess water)
1/2 cup matzo mix
white pepper to taste
